Advanced Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
Purpose
The Master of Divinity degree equips students through a biblical framework to lead in church and Christian ministry contexts by developing character, critical thinking skills, ministry competencies, and cultural acuity. This program provides an integrated approach where multiple disciplines are utilized while connecting learning in real-life applications with ministry settings and leaders.
Program Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to:
- Integrate Scripture with other appropriate sources in the development of an evangelical theology.
- Apply a biblical philosophy of ministry through appropriate professional practice and training experiences in the field.
- Exegete cultural contexts through the lens of a biblical worldview and research based on a knowledge of the literature appropriate to the discipline.
Program Specific Admission Requirements
In addition to the general admission procedures, applicants to the Advanced Master of Divinity program must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must have graduated from Liberty University with a bachelors degree and completed at least 30 hours of 300-400 level Bible or Biblical Language courses with a grade of B or higher1
- Contact information for one Pastoral Recommendation
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale)
- School of Divinity Questionnaire
- TOEFL Scores for students who speak English as a second language (score of 600 paper-based test; 250 computer-based test, 80 internet-based test)

Students who have completed 30 hours of graduate coursework in Bible or Biblical Languages may be considered for enrollment on a case-by-case basis.
